A crowdfunding project that was subsequently absorbed, the Halo Helmet incorporated a solar panel to charge safety lights mounted on the helmet, as well as charge USB-interfacing devices. 
The solar panel is flexible, and can even charge under fluorescent lights . The concept was to create two different styles of helmet: one for commuters, and one for cyclists.
