ARPEGGIO

Drawing inspiration from hand-thrown ceramic vessels, Arpeggio is characterized by sculptural forms and carefully crafted proportions. The Arpeggio collection’s cylindrical, vase-like diffusers are individually elegant yet balance nicely with other decorative elements, alluding to Arpeggio’s definition -- a sequence of notes that together form a chord.

A collection of lights with the philosophy of design being democratic, from one of the great designers himself. Karim Rashid is known for his unencumbered, contemporary designs that exude personality. Known for his work in developing the ‘blobject’, which is defined as, “a design distinguished by smooth flowing curves, bright colors, and an absence of sharp edges”, Karim wanted to draw on softer edges to evoke a sense of harmony.
In working with Karim and his team, one of the biggest challenges was translating the organic, free-flowing nature of the designs into something manufacturable, which involved dividing these forms into multiple, easily assemblable pieces and hide seams without creating undue added process for finishing.

Encore Table Light is Sam Gwilt’s sophomore release with Gantri. While exploring the effects of light, Gwilt tapped into the emotional experience derived from curtains - in a theater, concealed and raising anticipation prior to a performance, Encore is Gwilt’s showcase of how curtains can play a fundamental role in how one experiences light, through control or enhancement. Encore features a double exposed diffuser allowing for versatile use. Taking cues from the organic pleats created by curtains, the shade’s exterior showcases a unique rippled effect atop a geometric base. Similar to his first launch, Weight Table Light, Encore explores how static products can stop a moment in time while simulating motion.
